It’s All In the Mix

I love to mix prints.  I think mixing prints adds another dimension of interest to any outfit.  I often mix more than two prints.  I think the key to good print mixing is to find similar color schemes between the prints.  You can also do a clashing print with a third print that has both color schemes in it to tie the two together.  I love unique prints.  One reason I love to shop vintage is because of all the amazing prints.  I was happy to find this postcard print blouse at J. Crew.

I love the color scheme and the novelty print with fruit and flamenco dancers on it.  I bought the matching skirt as well (J.Crew is having a 30% off your purchase promotion right now with code hooray).  I plan to mix and match these pieces with an assortment of items already in my wardrobe.  I am also wearing a ruffle striped skirt from Zara (also having a huge sale), with Sole Society mules in a floral print that has the same colors as the top.

I put on a bunch of vintage bangle bracelets with some J. Crew fruit bracelets.   I couldn’t decide which vintage purse I liked with it so I photographed both.  The sunglasses are from Quay.  Vintage fruit necklace.

I also paired this top with the matching skirt.  Matched sets are trending this summer and  I love them because of the versatility they add to my wardrobe.  I added a wicker pineapple purse for some whimsical fun.

I also mixed the skirt with a vintage tropical print blouse from the 1950’s.  See crazy prints can be surprisingly versatile.
